FLVC has implemented the ability to create Table of Contents datastreams during Offline Batch Ingest of books. However, these TOC datastreams are static and must be modified offline and replaced. Islandora doesn't current have a TOC datastream editor to enable maintenance once the TOC datastream has been created. FLVC is a service of the State University System of Florida.

Book loads via offline batch ingest have experienced several problems with individual page images that cause the load of an entire book to fail. There appear to be a number of causes of these problem pages: sometimes uploads truncate a page without notice - the larger the book, the more it happens, and this appears to be a network-related issue. Various institutions have suggested that it be enhanced to also allow MARCXML metadata files. FLVC is a service of the State University System of Florida. Currently Islandora allows users to upload a MARCXML file during individual content object creation via the GUI. It has been suggested that we might enhance this functionality to allow upload of MODS XML files as an additional option. FLVC is a service of the State University System of Florida.
