http://sixbeesofexeter.blogspot.com/2015/07/the-needle-and-damage-done.html
The Six B's of Exeter. Monday, July 20, 2015. The Needle and the Damage Done. We watched the movie Unforgiven. Recently, twice sort of. Two parts of our watching Unforgiven. Are typical of our film viewing these days. We watch many movies we have watched before because we liked the film the first time and we start watching the movie after the film as started showing on TV. Now I didn't bore you with a retelling of this movie for no reason. Remember I said we watched the movie twice sort of? Ignorant of t...

The Six B's of Exeter: Do Over
http://sixbeesofexeter.blogspot.com/2015/07/do-over.html
The Six B's of Exeter. Friday, July 31, 2015. Last weekend I started a new job. Not a big deal for the most part, but in some ways it was a huge step. As usual I have been overthinking the situation and yet I believe for me this can be a great step forward to live in the past. Look at the situation this way. How many of us; because of family, money, desire, job or age; stop participating in hobbies they did while younger? I cant wait for your posts on this new adventure! It took me 4 years of forced reti...

The Six B's of Exeter: June 2015

The Six B's of Exeter. Tuesday, June 23, 2015. Victor Davis Hanson on the Real California Water Problem. I've come to like Victor Davis Hanson. He's from Selma just up Highway 99 a bit. Every time I go to Selma for a baseball game I think of Mr. Hanson. With the column below he hit a sharp liner in the gap regarding the California water issue and the general problem with how the majority of people, especially our "leaders," think in California. Friday, June 19, 2015. Mc Farland, The Movie. I have a dream.

The Six B's of Exeter: To See, or To Really See
http://sixbeesofexeter.blogspot.com/2015/07/to-see-or-to-really-see.html
The Six B's of Exeter. Wednesday, July 22, 2015. To See, or To Really See. I've been in a funk for a while. The transition from everyday work, bells rings telling me where to be, young people asking or telling, adults speaking nonsense to help them chase some goal to the what am I going to do today of life after work; this change hasn't been as smooth. My latest thoughts about this situation have been about perspective. Perspective makes the difference. Yesits all about perspective. What if it's today?

The Six B's of Exeter. Wednesday, February 25, 2015. So Many Things to Think About. Now without a job and bells defining my life, I am overwhelmed with decisions to make. Net Neutrality and potential loss of freedoms. House repairs. Tiny house or no tiny house. Move or stay. Taxes. Water or drought. It seems that my day is spent making decisions. Sunday, February 15, 2015. Different King of Work, Better Soil. Saturday, February 14, 2015. World Ag Expo- What a Day! Sunday, February 8, 2015. Historically I...

The Six B's of Exeter. Sunday, April 26, 2015. What $100 Will Buy You In. . . This is a map of what $100 will buy you by metropolitan regions in the U.S. We can buy a bit over $104 worth of goods while a few hours north our relatives can buy $84 worth of stuff. More food for thought. Tuesday, April 14, 2015. A Few Thoughts From Today's Paper. Could it be that Americans are paying higher mortgage payments because they are buying larger homes? Larger homes than they really need? Tuesday, April 7, 2015.

The Six B's of Exeter. Saturday, March 21, 2015. The King of California Book Review. Monday, March 16, 2015. No matter, we're eating here. Now to find a table or tables to fits all and then order food. What I really wanted though was a quieter place to talk with my family. Tuesday, March 10, 2015. Water in Central CA. Technically we live in a desert. We receive 10" of rainfall annually. For the last three years, it's been less. Recent news about rationing, rate increases groundwater overdraft...The City ...

The Six B's of Exeter: August 2015
http://sixbeesofexeter.blogspot.com/2015_08_01_archive.html
The Six B's of Exeter. Monday, August 17, 2015. Just Rattling Around This Globe. It's been a fun filled week. It started off with my first official sub job. I worked a 6th grade class. I have always thought elementary teachers worked harder than high school teachers and i confirmed that with this sub session. I enjoyed it and the students were good and needily helpful. Thursday, August 6, 2015. Beginning of Year Two. I'm glad this is my second missed First Day of School. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). A cro...

The Six B's of Exeter. Wednesday, August 20, 2014. Yellowstone and Happy, the Movies. We recently joined the 21st Century and got a laptop. We have been trying to simplify things, so cable was changed and we signed up for Netflix that we stream. The laptop enables us to do this easier, so we have been utilizing the technology. Our children suggest movies they think we would like such as Tiny. Mile, Mile and a Half;. The first was Where the Yellowstone Goes. The second movie we watched is Happy. Yesterday...

The Six B's of Exeter: Mc Farland, The Movie
http://sixbeesofexeter.blogspot.com/2015/06/mc-farland-movie.html
The Six B's of Exeter. Friday, June 19, 2015. Mc Farland, The Movie. I have been to McFarland the town. It is about 60 miles from my home. Last night we finally watched McFarland, USA. The movie. What Coach White and those young men accomplished is the American Dream. Right now in our country many are preaching that the Dream is dead. They proved that wrong. We from the Central Valley know we come from a poor region, yet we can be successful both here and elsewhere. McFarland, USA. Reminds us of that.
