Friday, May 1, 2015. I recently went on a trip to the Sunshine Coast. There were two ferries, one from Little River Vancouver Island to Powell River and one from Saltery Bay to Earls Cove. The Saltery Bay trip is around 50 min. and is a very scenic trip. Hummer's at the Saltery Bay terminal and Taz wanted outside he is really good about the leash. The scenic ferry trip. Tuesday, April 24, 2012. Street Sweeper came by. Household compost, leaves, peat, black gold and whatever I can find. Maple leaves and good old Peat. Here are the red wrigglers. The white spots are their wrigglers eggs. Peat and leaves to start. Molly-Anne is in full bloom. Whoop's left the back gate open. Tuesday, April 17, 2012. Garden Seat, Transplanting tis the season! We have talked about moving the crowded Rhododendrons they had a lot of space when they were small. We have replanted 8 so far and the new bed will soon be full. There other plants in pots that need their own space so it will be busy time for a good while. Sunday, December 31, 2017. Bears, Apples and Good Fortune. A Mother and two cubs came for a night time visit back in November. We have heard lots of times pick your apples. I had left a few in a small tote on our porch, it was later I had gone to bed when they showed up. My wife was up and heard them looking for food.
