Highway to Happy: December 2007
http://liana2chinkee.blogspot.com/2007_12_01_archive.html
Come fly with me. Thursday, December 27, 2007. For the past weeks, one thing that's keeping me busy during the afternoons are the replays of UAAP's 70th season. Yeah, I know, I'm such an obsessed basketball fan. UAAP and, of course, the perrenial La Salle- Ateneo. Rivalry definitely spiced up my. Posted by Liana : 9:34 PM 0 Comments. Links to this post. For my 8th term, I've accomplished something i thought was beyond my capabilities: earning a spot in the FIRST HONORS DEAN'S LIST. For the past eight ter...

Highway to Happy: November 2007
http://liana2chinkee.blogspot.com/2007_11_01_archive.html
Come fly with me. Wednesday, November 28, 2007. Perhaps he's serious this time. Years ago, I watched my brother jump from one relationship to another, break girls’ hearts week after week and flirt with some hot chic despite being committed. So long before any guy attempted to win me over through flower and chocolates, I already knew all those strategies. Aside from the fact that my heartbreaker radar sharpened, I found nothing good about my brother making too many girls cry. When that time comes,. One at...

http://liana2chinkee.blogspot.com/2007_08_01_archive.html
Come fly with me. Monday, August 27, 2007. To a Dear Friend. To whoever’s reading this entry: if you felt, even in the slightest measure, that I wrote this for you then, trust me, it is certainly for you.]. I don’t hate you. I don’t even dislike you. you’re a good person; you’ve been a great friend. Don’t doubt the friendship we shared. What I showed and shared with you, all the smiles and care, those were real. All these years, I’ve been wishing you well. See? You’ll remain one of my most- treasured fri...

Highway to Happy: February 2008
http://liana2chinkee.blogspot.com/2008_02_01_archive.html
Come fly with me. Friday, February 22, 2008. Sometimes, life gets really tough, making me want to give up and just let the world succumb me. Last night was a perfect example. Because of four straight days of merely 3 hours of sleep, my system just gave up and resisted to bear another (almost). Sleepless night. I got home around 8pm, had my dinner and sat in our sofa. The next thing I knew, I was staring at our clock in horror, realizing it was already 1am. Gawin mo na lang para sa kin, ha? It's just so e...

Highway to Happy: Project Catch the Fish
http://liana2chinkee.blogspot.com/2015/03/project-catch-fish.html
Come fly with me. Sunday, March 22, 2015. Project Catch the Fish. And catch the fish, he did. Before getting engaged, whenever Keng acted jealous, I would tease him even more by showing my empty ring finger. I’m still a fish in the sea, I would tell him. To which, he’d roll his eyes and laugh in response. Certainly, that’s his inspiration for tagging his proposal as #projectcatchthefish . (Yes, a hashtag is necessary.). Ever since we got engaged, I’m the one getting all the How did it happen? One time, i...

Highway to Happy: May 2008
http://liana2chinkee.blogspot.com/2008_05_01_archive.html
Come fly with me. Monday, May 26, 2008. There are certain events in life to which the only response is to fold one’s hands, bow one’s head and remain silent. It is not that words are inadequate. It is simply that they cannot be heard by the one to whom they are addressed. That is the first lesson. It is hard and pure. Whether you wish to learn it or not is irrelevant. You will be taught. Posted by Liana : 5:00 PM 0 Comments. Links to this post. Tuesday, May 13, 2008. I have always been good with words.

Highway to Happy: June 2008
http://liana2chinkee.blogspot.com/2008_06_01_archive.html
Come fly with me. Monday, June 30, 2008. Yesterday, my parents and I went to the supermarket. On our way home, my dad parked the car near a small store to buy newspaper. When I looked out my window, I saw this man sitting on the dirty floor, selling recycled bottles as decorative vases to passers- by. My heart cringed at this vision. I felt for that man. He was too old to still be in the streets, making a living. So why did I buy one? I paid P10, not for a vase, but for a heart I hope will not falter.

Highway to Happy: October 2007
http://liana2chinkee.blogspot.com/2007_10_01_archive.html
Come fly with me. Tuesday, October 30, 2007. Oh, 'twas PERFECT. Sipping our favorite Starbucks drink in between conversations, holding hands while watching the rain behind our vague reflection on the glass walls, gazing at the same direction while releasing deep sighs, reminiscing difficult times while I lean on his shoulder, and watching the clouds turn grey in each other’s arms. It was a moment that would definitely turn into a sweet memory. For quite a long while, we had been clinging unto the. That e...

Highway to Happy: January 2008
http://liana2chinkee.blogspot.com/2008_01_01_archive.html
Come fly with me. Sunday, January 27, 2008. PS I Love You (more). January 23, 2008. The universe conspired and, suddenly, Keng and I’s schedule became free. As always, we grabbed this opportunity to go out on a date. This time, however, it was extra- special because it would be my. Pre- real world date. Honestly, I was really touched by the movie that I decided, right after it ended, to post something about the story. However, when the lights went on again, I was deeply moved with what I saw:. Highway to Happy: 2015: A New Year's Wish
http://liana2chinkee.blogspot.com/2014/12/2015-new-years-wish.html
Come fly with me. Tuesday, December 30, 2014. 2015: A New Year's Wish. I believe the universe wants to be noticed. I think the universe is improbably biased toward the consciousness, that it rewards intelligence in part because the universe enjoys its elegance being observed. For the coming year, you and me, I wish we could be spectators to what is genuine and extraordinary. I wish we notice beyond what we see when we scroll through our smart phones. I wish we can say, ‘I’ve been there’. When we notice s...
