November 21, 2014. Vol Family Road Trip Part Two: Bristol and Bristol Motor Speedway. The drive wasn't too bad, and it was kind of mountain-y so the scenery was nice. It starts with the itch I had to update my Christmas decor this year. Our old house only had one door and all the wreaths we had were hand me downs. Cute hand me downs, but for our new home I wanted to start all over and update everything. What does one do when faced with this yen for new decorations? Pinterest led me to this wreath.

January 29, 2013. This past weekend we decided to take the kids to a parade after a friend's birthday party. I was pretty nervous about taking Hadley since she detests the car seat and stroller, but we decided to go for it. I can only stay away from Mardi Gras for so long! Thatcher had a blast, though one parade was all Hadley could handle! He hasn't stopped talking about "Thatcher get beads Mardi Gras" and was telling everyone at the pediatrician's office "Happy Mardi Gras" yesterday - it's pretty cute!
