Sunday, 22 February 2015. New walk at the Gunwalloe coves. The walk reaches the coast at the Loe Bar which is a deceptively dangerous beach with occasional large freak waves and shingle which caves in underfoot when waves dump onto it. It is said to claim one soul every seven years. The return route is via the Halzephron Inn which still has a hidden passage connecting to a network of underground tunnels, which was thought to connect to a nearby monastery as well as being used by smugglers.
