I was having a busy week, so Sprout and my mom went up to the farm to collect all these lovely summer veggies and fruits for the family. In addition to the usual assortment of greens, we’re starting to see some eggplants, cukes, and summer squash. (Sprout even picked one monstrous zucchini which is longer than my forearm! Thursday, 30 April 2015. For my final piece, I used the same technique as the illustrations in 'The Busiest Boy in Holland' and then scanned it in to Photoshop. I added a gradient to the watercolour and then changed the brightness settings to add more contrast to the colours. I also made developed the watercolour I had done. Friday, 23 January 2015. Friday, 16 January 2015. Final Piece and Drafting. I scanned my drawing of the outline into Photoshop. I changed the gradient so it was solid black lines and then deleted the white background. I used the lasso tool to select a leaf outline. I selected them all individually and coloured them individually with different shades of green. Once I had finished colouring the leaves, I coloured the ladybird in the same way. I deleted a section out of the back page to use for the blurb.
