Traditionally our other annual parties include a shrimp boil and a "fajitas and ritas" cruise (yes you can cruise a J/24! Held in early summer and mid fall respectively. Ritas and Fajitas Party!

Our fleet is part of District 14. Of the U.S. J/24 Class Association. Our Fleet's activities are guided by our Fleet Officers; the Fleet Captain, a Treasurer, a Fleet Reporter and our Social Chair(s), which rotate among the Fleet members each year. Most of our Fleet activities are scheduled around AYC's Series race schedule. We typically race 2 windward / leeward races each Series date and the Fleet sponsors an organized themed social after the first set of races of each Series.

Thursday, June 26, 2008. Late Breeze Carries Maniac to a First. At the all-important first crossing, Maniac had the fleet by four or five lengths. Apparently the breeze was not stronger on the north side! Maniac then began to sail conservatively, staying in the middle of the course and covering any threatening boats to the weather mark. Sunday, June 22, 2008. B4G Gets a Bullet in 2nd POETS of 2008. After racing the party was on at Dennis Hatton's place with John Dunnigan providing the entertainment.
