Friday, July 17, 2009. Onion Root Beer soup. Jackson created this soup while I made dinner tonight. A great way to keep him entertained while I gave my leftover ingredients of all kinds. He was very proud, although he wouldn't even try it. He did, however, demand that Vince and I try it. Combine the below ingredients in a bowl and stir:. 1/2 onion chopped and sprinkled with oregano. 1/4 cup root beer. 1/4 cup lemon juice. Another 1/4 cup root beer. 3 T olive oil. Ground pepper to little heart's desire.
