Wednesday, June 24, 2015. Forcing the Hand of God: Chapter 13. Rodger walked along the trail leading to the front door of the mission. Sister Pearl came running toward him, crying out in her broken English. 8220;Oh, God’s will! 8221; Breathless, she sucked in air loudly while striking her chest. 8220;What miracle, Sister Pearl? 8221; Rodger kept her at arm’s length, his hands pressed against her shoulders. Mary Elizabeth lives again! 8220;Yes, yes, all right! Standing upright, with Mary Elizabeth danglin...

. Because I was not a Socialist. Then they came for the Trade Unionists, and I did not speak out—. Because I was not a Trade Unionist. Then they came for the Jews, and I did not speak out—. Wednesday, July 22, 2015. YNK (You Never Know): Chapter 4 - MIA (Missing in Action). I grab the leashes and round up the Jedi-wannabes. “You guys can be so tiresome! 8221; I scold, but when they lick me, nuzzle me and do their little yip-yip-yip, I have to smile at them. Even Porthos, the little miscreant, is mellow today. My three charges are trotting along today like well-mannered dogs, which is not like them. It occurs to me maybe they are missing Mr. W., too. 8220;Yeah, Fran. You…and m-me&#...I’...

Jacquie Ream: Books Review: The Gravedigger's Daughter
http://jacquiereamauthor.blogspot.com/2015/07/books-review-gravediggers-daughter.html
Thursday, July 2, 2015. Books Review: The Gravedigger's Daughter. While on a recent vacation, I had the opportunity to revisit one of my favorite authors, Joyce Carol Oates while reading her 2007 novel The Gravedigger's Daughter. A lot of readers do not like the intensity of her writing, but I find that quality to be the most engaging. I cannot leave the story while I am in it. I am anchored in the character, actions and scenery. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Find me on Facebook. Find me on LinkedIn.

Something thwacked the screen door and stuck to the vibrating mesh. She shrieked. When she focused her eyes, she...Ada s...

Wednesday, August 5, 2015. Forcing the Hand of God: Chapter 15. Planes overhead. A flash of wing; one of his planes. Rodger bolted from the jeep, tumbling forward, and screamed. “Clear out! Clear .”. Where Josephine and Tobias had been, a thin, black column of smoke curled up. The ground was splattered by bullets. The earth had stopped moving, and he was suspended in an ungodly silence. When he heard his own breathing again, felt his heart beating and blood pounding in his temples, he knew they were ...
