Thursday, January 27, 2011. I have been quite remiss in my efforts to keep up here. Boy is it sooo easy to just leave this alone and forget about it as an unimportant thing. Alas, I have heard from others how they want to see it. so. here I am again. January 27, 2011! One year ago today little Tavia made an entrance into our family via a cold and stormy night. Monday, November 30, 2009. Well, we had our Thanksgiving dinner last night and it was great. I stuffed myself so full that I felt I might not eat again for a long time. Friday, January 24, 2014. What made me think of health. This past week has been quite an emotional roller coaster. Travis and I and children traveled down the road from home to my sister's house to visit. We had a good visit and seem to not be bothering the relatives too much, but. Wednesday, April 7, 2010. Today marks less than a week until we leave. Bittersweet, but only barely. Mostly sweet. I have dealt with some telling us we are crazy, irresponsible, stupid, and just plain idiots for attending medical school 5,500 miles from home with 5 children. Things here have something to do with my children. We teach at home, use attachment parenting, co-sleep until we are ready to move them, use a mix of cloth and disposable diapering, believe in positive parenting, and know that discipline takes many forms, usually self-discipline. Tuesday, January 12, 2010. We have arrived at Travis' 4th and last semester here in Dominica! It was acknowledged today that Chicago is open for 5th semester this coming Summer semester! I was informed that we are going to visit the same beach again. I am also taking on the feeding of the volunteers for the health fair. We will see how I can do that with children.
