June 23, 2015 8:25 pm. Niagara was our last stop before home, and having never been there, none of us knew what to expect. It exceeded our expectations. The area surrounding the falls is very touristy (we stayed on the Canadian side), it felt like a little Atlantic City at times, but the falls themselves overwhelmingly beautiful. Garden of the Gods. June 8, 2015 10:37 am. The year after we got married, we visited Garden of the Gods in Colorado Springs on a road trip to the Telluride Bluegrass Festival. We had no kids. And we took some really dark pictures of ourselves. Now, 12 years later, we had the opportunity to come back to the same place with 4 kids (3 pictured here) and make new memories. Tonight is fourty degrees, but it feels warm and beautiful. the snow is finally melting away, and i hear word that there's more to come tomorrow night into wednesday. getting around on campus is difficult in the snow, but the romantic side of me says it's worth it. we'll see if it can win the practical side over.
