We've been on the road (away from Malta) since Nov 23 and after the 30 hr journey back we are thrilled to be back in our new home. Flying by the seat of our pants. And we are off again. We spent all day yesterday packing for a 35 day travel adventure. Yes, it took all day, from 9am to around 4pm. We leave today (in about 3 hours) and fly to Dubai. We will be there until the 27th when we fly on to Doha for a 3 week visit and then on Dec 16 we begin our journey back to Houston for the Holidays for 10 days! Posted by Floater 29. We survived Ramadan, made our first visit to Malta and are now finishing up our first of two weeks in Dubai before heading out to Doha again. :). Living abroad; year two. Thursday, November 13, 2008. Nite out in Dubai. Just logging some old events. We went out last weekend with Steve and a new friend from South Africa, Louw. We ate some dinner at one of our favorite restaurants in Madinat Jumeriah where the Burj Al Arab glows in the background. Bean bags, beer and friends. We then stopped by the local 'pub' for some darts and a few more beers - Always a good pass time. Love the bing bag restaurant. Talk about low overhead:). Our pictures and stuff.
