Numbers | Wayne Gough
https://vocalrevolution.wordpress.com/2010/10/14/numbers
Ramblings from the mind of Wayne Gough. Listening to the morning radio show the morning DJ was in an unusually thoughtful mode musing about how watching the Chilean miner emerge from the hole in the ground made him realise they are more than numbers, more than just the 33 that had been heard about for the last 70 days. I think that we need to not only embrace the numbers game but realise what it represents, it talks in Acts 17 about understanding in him (Christ) we live move and have our being, behind ea...

A wibble but not a wobble | Wayne Gough

Ramblings from the mind of Wayne Gough. A wibble but not a wobble. A wibbly wobbly moment. Do you get them? I think most people do, in fact I think even pastors and great men of God get then, perhaps even Rick Warren gets them. Most of course would never admit to getting them, not sure about Rick because to be honest that is total speculation. It’s sort of a bit of a mute subject, it sort of exposes us and lets be honest none of us like being exposed or in any way transparent. However yesterday I had one.

Ramblings from the mind of Wayne Gough. Sweary pastors and roller skater vicars. These are extreme examples of a delusion that is epidemic in church circles, that we think by swearing or roller skating or calling ourselves 21. Century we are somehow being relevant, that is not relevant it’s just desperate and silly. So trendy dudes why not leave the skates in the garage, wash out your mouth with soap and get down to the business in hand of being salt and light. Peace out (I am so down with the kids!

Ramblings from the mind of Wayne Gough. Five stories: three museums: one statement Part: FIVE: back to Mozambique. The Bishop spoke with passion about how he is removing the guns from Mozambique one village at a time. He realises that his actions affect the stories of others. Comments : Leave a Comment. Five stories: three museums: one statement Part FOUR: Germany. As I was walking around the exhibition and saw how the Jewish people were demonised by the state I can across one information board that stop...

Ramblings from the mind of Wayne Gough. All of a sudden I was accused by some comics of supporting intellectual theft! The second involves a liberal reform lawyer who goes by the twitter name of jackofkent. This creates a new medium for protest, a new channel for communication and as such can be used for good or for bad, undoubtedly Jackofkent. Comments : Leave a Comment. This blog is rubbish. No seriously, this blog is rubbish. I suppose detractors would be quick to pounce on this, You just want robots,...

Pictures and actions | Wayne Gough
https://vocalrevolution.wordpress.com/2010/10/15/pictures-and-actions
Ramblings from the mind of Wayne Gough. The council have just released some nice pictures of how they want the city centre to look; you would think the good folk of Stoke on Trent would be delighted with this. Not so I am afraid. Leaving the political ramifications of this to one side there is a lesson here for Church leaders, it is important to not just paint a good picture of were you want to go or what you want to deliver, you have to deliver results. 2 Be focused, don’t be distracted, all to easy thi...

Ramblings from the mind of Wayne Gough. I had a great week last week with BCC hosting two absolute hero’s in the faith for me, As a young man Clyde Sundry and Mal Fletcher had an immense impact on my life even though neither would probably know it. I was Blessed to hear these two guys speak on several occasions as a young man and still to this day remember the effect it had on my life. We don’t escape in the church either, several of my role models from when I was young, Mal and Clyde’s contemporaries ha...

Ramblings from the mind of Wayne Gough. When they heard the loud noise they came running. In acts 2 v 6 people came running also when they heard a noise, I told the resource team at Campus:Cheadle last night that this needs to be part of our blueprint. Every Sunday evening before the gathering they used to gather in a side room off the main auditorium to pray, man it was loud and powerful, I remember thinking the door would blow off its hinges at any moment. Come on let’s make a noise! As I have been rea...
