A developed thesis does do a lot for organizing the rest of an essay, as it is the main argument. Incorporating sources for this essay was, and still is, a difficulty for me as well. March 23, 2011. The allegory of the cave. This story was at first difficult to grasp until the end when Plato comments on knowledge and comprehension. However, it provides a good example of the level of human understanding. I do agree that whatever one is given is what they will comprehend to their best ability.
