Saturday, June 6, 2009. The overnight train from Bangkok to Chiang Mai was incredible. (Compared to an overnight flight, overnight trains hands down rock! We each had huge bunk beds and the entire group was all in one car so it was like a giant slumber party. We had a full on party with music, drinks, cards, etc. It was a fun way to get to know everyone on our tour that we'd be with for the next 4 weeks! Here are some of my favorites. Enjoy! Sunday, May 24, 2009. The train ride to Florence was about 3 hours total and we only had to switch trains once so overall it was a pretty easy travel day. Our plan was to tour around Florence for 2 days with Carolyn and Hugh before meeting up with the Bike Vermont group at the Florence train station.
