After gaining my City and Guilds certificate in embroidery from South Nottinghamshire College, I went on to join the Derbyshire based Living Threads group. I have exhibited at various venues including Stitching For Pleasure shows at the NEC and the “Fashion Embroidery and Stitch show” at Harrogate. Keen to promote traditional skills, I am an enthusiastic tutor, running workshops for guilds, colleges and textile groups.

Using hand dyed lace and ribbons for that vintage look, stitch a pretty heart shaped cushion to grace your boudoir. Embellish with motifs, beads and buttons. Finished sized is approximately 11 cms. We were supposed to have visitors this weekend, but at unfortunately a trapped nerve in the ladies back has stopped her travelling so we had the weekend free and decided to dust off the bikes and cycle along the Brampton Valley Way which runs between Northampton and Market Harborough (an old railway line). Saturday, 4 December 2010. New Spring / Summer Workshops. After an inspiring trip to the Knitting and stitching show in Harrogate.
