Children, I ask you! June 3rd, 2014. Children, I ask you! When P came home the issue was picked up again, and a bit more searching was done, mostly by frustrated parents, let it be said. When I headed off to the PTA meeting I left a cloud of frustration behind me (and took a portion of mine with me, but since I also got to take peach muffins I could leave most of it behind). Its not what I call homely. By the old cook. Jul 13th, 2012. And now Ive met. I ate delicious calamari (served in a comical fish-shaped dish) and aioli, She ate delicious-looking welsh rarebit, and Dave ate delicious-looking haddock and chips. When Dave ordered cake, it came with three forks! The rain came down in sheets, despite two previous sunny afternoons. We talked about being Welsh, steam trains, famly history and The Dark is Rising. What else? For a delicious lunch and pleasant company.

Jane Williams paintings & drawings string quartets & ensembles. Inspired by Barbican event
Painting with Sound exhibition. Since 1989 Jane has been fascinated by small groups of musicians performing. She spent a weekend drawing at the Barbican as different groups of musicians. Played all the Haydn string quartets. By the end of the weekend she was hooked and has been exploring the subject ever since through drawing, painting and collage using a variety of media. Gilding and Gold Leaf. Gold Leaf is pure gold that has been beaten down and hammered out into very thin sheets. The leaves can then be cut into squares of about 10 square inches. Gold leaf should assay at about 22 carats. The colour of the gold differs according to the origin and the amount of alloy used.
