http://sara-marshallislands.blogspot.com/2009_03_01_archive.html
Saturday, March 7, 2009. An After Finals Walk. Yesterday after finals Matt, Stefani, and I walked to Nene, the island north of Guegeegue. We had so much fun. One man lives on the island, he watches over it. I have never seen one person who has so many chickens, there must have been about twenty! We went snorkeling and it was amazing! The coral was so beautiful and we saw fish that we have never seen in Gueegeegue. The most exciting part was we swam with a shark! Wednesday, March 4, 2009. I should be writ...

Within the next two weeks I will finish reading The Big Wave. With my honors students and I am wicked excited to start reading Holes. Teaching in Guegeegue: December 2008
http://sara-marshallislands.blogspot.com/2008_12_01_archive.html
Monday, December 8, 2008. I found a lice in my hair tonight. I am surprised I haven't had one before. Since I have lost so much hair since I have been here, I can comb through my hair easily with the super fined toothed lice combs. Tomorrow afternoon I will apply a jar of mayo to my head. Maybe my hair will stop falling out because the mayo will condition it so much. Wishful thinking. HA. Tuesday, December 2, 2008. With the stuffing and mashed potatoes in our kitchen. Was cooking all day! Was able to fol...

I am a bit upset. but I think I will still be able to get what you sent me. A good thing about small islands and being a rebelle is people can find me. I will try to write a post this weekend. Miss you all! August 20, 2008. The flight was short and smooth. Considering all of the flights I have had since I left home I am lucky they have all been easy ri...

Teaching in Guegeegue: April 2009
http://sara-marshallislands.blogspot.com/2009_04_01_archive.html
Monday, April 13, 2009. I don't think I have written much about how hospitable people here are. Today I was reminded of that during my run. Again The boy just held the thing to me. That was when I got a whiff and realized, yup that is chicken like he said. I laughed a little at myself and told them, "No thank you, I can't eat when I run." The boys smiled at me and I ran away. Thursday, April 9, 2009. Easter is this coming Sunday. I can't believe how quickly it has arrived. I haven't had the oppor...House...

My first few days here have been amazing. We arrived at about midnight. The baggage claim area was man-powered, no conveyer belts here. We packed both buses full. We have fou...

Monday, January 26, 2009. Me dancing the christmas jebta. In my yellow mumu. Erica, Jay, and my dad receiving gifts from my Marshallese Aunt. Teaching in Guegeegue: November 2008
http://sara-marshallislands.blogspot.com/2008_11_01_archive.html
Thursday, November 27, 2008. Today I spend a good portion of my afternoon mopping my classroom. Funny thing is, the last time I mopped my classroom was on my birthday. Maybe I'll mop again for Christmas! Mopping stage aka sweeping, I noticed something was moving in the pile of dust, dirt, and paper that I was pushing around my floor. I looked closely and noticed it was a tick, I looked closer and noticed there were at least five ticks in the pile. My classroom is worse than a field of grass! I had a real...
