JANNER53's METAL DETECTING BLOG: Few hours at the beach.

http://janner53.blogspot.com/2015/05/few-hours-at-beach.html

Detecting Code of Conduct and The Law. Few hours at the beach. My metal detecting beach finds today. Okay I didn't find much, whats needed is a good storm to churn this beach up. Most of the finds above came out of the top dry shingle where people sunbathed. The coins are all modern decimal apart from a ship halfpenny. I did find a very tiny coin that stumped me until I returned home, where I discovered it was a Polish 1 Grosz, dated 2006. Thursday 21 May 2015. Labels: Metal Detecting Beach Finds. Past T...

JANNER53's METAL DETECTING BLOG: Love Token Find.

http://janner53.blogspot.com/2015/06/love-token-find.html

Detecting Code of Conduct and The Law. Myself I managed the silver love token pictured above. As you can see the details of the coin are well gone and its bent in the typically wavy fashion. Still, silver is silver and I was chuffed to find it. Total finds for the day. Monday 29 June 2015. Labels: Metal Detecting Finds. 29 June 2015 at 13:52. Welcome back Janner Ive missed your blog,I thought you must have fallen down one of your holes! Good to see you back in action. Regards, Nick. 29 June 2015 at 21:22.

The Responsible Detectorist: Camber Sands hoard

http://theresponsibledetectorist.blogspot.com/2014/04/camber-sands-hoard.html

Ramblings of a part time metal detectorist in West Sussex, England. Looking at Responsible Metal Detecting. Metal Detecting For Beginners. Thursday, 24 April 2014. Just got back from a week in Camber Sands with the partner and the little man. I had hoped to do some blogging but on arriving at our rented house I soon found out there wasn't any wifi. Ooops. In hindsight though it was actually rather nice to be free from the shackles of the internet. I did manage to dig out the following mighty hoard. Confl...

Ramblings of a part time metal detectorist in West Sussex, England. Looking at Responsible Metal Detecting. Metal Detecting For Beginners. Saturday, 22 March 2014. First silver thimble and interesting badge. Had a few hours yesterday and found my first silver thimble. It's stamped London 1930. With today's throw away culture I imagine most kids haven't even ever seen a thimble or know what. More detail about the Unionist badge can be found here. 22 March 2014 at 14:05. 22 March 2014 at 14:12. Archaeologi...

Ramblings of a part time metal detectorist in West Sussex, England. Looking at Responsible Metal Detecting. Metal Detecting For Beginners. Tuesday, 18 March 2014. Something to look into. Is a archaeological dig with detectorists the ideal solution although I guess this again presupposes the archaeologists know where to dig in the first place and can get permission. I appreciate these are not new questions but they are new to me as well I'm newish to detecting. 18 March 2014 at 22:31. 20 March 2014 at 04:...

Ramblings of a part time metal detectorist in West Sussex, England. Looking at Responsible Metal Detecting. Metal Detecting For Beginners. Borough Council v. Fletcher. Court of Appeal CA. Sir Thomas Bingham M.R., Auld and Ward L.JJ. This appeal concerns the collision of two familiar notions of English law: "finders keepers" and that an owner or lawful possessor of land owns all that. 2) How is the answer to (1) affected by, or applied, when the land is public open space? Somewhere for Janners to feel even more posh and that, Yo Sushi has opened a restaurant in the bit of the new Janner Containment Unit (Drake’s Circus Shopping Centre) that is normally reserved for cheap calendars and middle aged women getting their toes nibbled by Garra Rufa fish. Which restaurant can now hold claim to be Plymouth’s poshest?

JANNER53's METAL DETECTING BLOG

Detecting Code of Conduct and The Law. After nearly six hours of metal detecting a farm today on a club dig, the above object is all I had to show for it. Not even sure of what it is. At first I thought it was a large button but after cleaning I think it maybe a furniture fitment of some kind. If anyone has any ideas I'll be happy to hear them. Size of it is 2.5 CM. As the saying goes it has to be there to find it. Sunday 12 July 2015. Labels: Metal Detecting Finds. Slapton Sands Beach Session. Okay I di...

What a European has to say in the New World. Skip to primary content. Skip to secondary content. Listening to the traffic jam Scaredy car. January 20, 2014. With winter (hopefully) coming to a close I shall talk once more about driving in Canada. I have more topics planned so it doesn’t get too boring, but I did want to write about this. Again, might not be anyone’s interest, but you don’t have to read it, so it’s fine. Listening to the traffic jam. November 28, 2013. One point I briefly touched ranting ...
