What a wonderful day! | Jan Thompson, Quilt Artist
https://janthompson.wordpress.com/2008/04/09/what-a-wonderful-day
Jan Thompson, Quilt Artist. Laquo; Pentecost Banner. What I’ve been doing……. What a wonderful day! Sunday turned out to be a spectacular day for our church. We had an off-site brunch and worship service, with all the congregation together at one time. The turnout was fabulous, and it was amazing to see everyone together. The banner looked wonderful, and expressed all that I hoped it would. The Holy Spirit was definitely in the room! She was really proud of herself, after 13 years and 2 children! Leave a ...

Jan Thompson, Quilt Artist. Laquo; Quilting Woes. What a wonderful day! It took me forever to finish the communion paraments, but only a week to finish the Pentecost banner. A big problem on the communion paraments was coming up with the design. I love the way they turned out, and I am equally as pleased with this new one. Have a wonderful Saturday………. Jan Thompson, Quilt Artist. Laquo; What a wonderful day! What I’ve been doing……. I am posting a picture of the dresses I made the other day for my 4 yr. old granddaughter Morgan and her Bitty Baby. They fit perfectly, and looked so cute on her. I’ll be hitting the sewing machine again today for another outfit for them. OK – I have tried multiple times to upload the picture, but no luck. I’ll have to study on it – be back later…. You can follow any responses to this entry through the RSS 2.0.

Mother’s Day | Jan Thompson, Quilt Artist
https://janthompson.wordpress.com/2008/05/09/mothers-day
Jan Thompson, Quilt Artist. Laquo; What I’ve been doing……. Great news for me. And she did marry the second most wonderful man in the world (after my wonderful DH, her father)! But above all, she is a Godly woman with a beautiful spirit. So on this Mother’s Day, did I meet my goal? All I can say is, “Thanks, Mom, for raising me in the way I wanted to raise my daughter, and in the way Amanda is raising her daughter and son.”. A new project and a storage tip. January 25, 2010. Why do I get these ideas running through my head? I had this idea of a burgundy and light blue quilt so you know I had to try it. So far I have used 1 1/2 yards of each color. The pattern is just a nine patch and plain squares of fabric on point. The blue is washed out in the picture. Hope everyone has a great week.
