This site is devoted to the flora and fauna of Januariesfontein, a smallholding on a northern slope in Piket-bo-berg. The name refers to the spring, or mountain ‘fontein’ which runs strongly year-round, even in January, the hottest month. Much of the area is pristine and carries a rich natural diversity of indigenous plants and fynbos.
