My Japan trip – May 2012. My last day in Japan. Well, my friends, in my last day in Japan. I am heading back to Australia in about three hours and will be back home tomorrow morning. It’s been a fantastic 5 weeks that I would not swap for anything. I only have a short time to write this post as I am using a wi-fi connection that I don’t think I should be. My Japan trip – May 2012. Took a train from Osaka to Kanazawa today. It really did take a long time, so did not get an opportunity to look around too much, but did get to visit the most amazing gallery. The 21st Century Museum of Art in Kanazawa. From previous experiences of modern Japanese galleries I was expecting a lot and I was not disappointed. As usual, no photos allowed inside, but I did get an opportunity to take a few photos outside. A very impressive space to exhibit impressive works.

My Japan trip – May 2012. An adventure in Kanazawa. I am sorry everyone, I do not know what happened to yesterday’s entry, so I have reposted. I really don’t have much to say today. It’s my last day in Kanazawa and my last full day in Japan. Back to Australia tomorrow and am very sad to be leaving Japan. Given my sadness I would like to post only pictures today. My Japan trip – May 2012. Day trip in the wet. Woke up this morning to rain, and a lot of it. And it looked like it wasn’t going to improve, so I thought I might take a day trip to a remote seaside town about 1 hour train ride from Kanazawa. What a stupid idea that was. I arrived at WakuraOnsen about 12.00 and it did not stop raining. It was windy, miserable and really one of those days when everyone wanted to be inside. In the end I was glad I didn’t. And one last shot in the train on the way back.
