The Lyman Family: March 2015
http://stephaniegriggs.blogspot.com/2015_03_01_archive.html
Monday, March 30, 2015. Ellen has reached her 5 month mark. Here are a few developments:. 1 She is getting very strong. If she wants to be picked up, she'll often lift her shoulders, head, and legs all off the ground at the same time. 2 She is beginning to reach for toys. If you put one in front of her, she'll reach up and grab it with both hands. She can also pull down her vibrating toys that hook to her car seat. 4 Ellen is now ticklish. I love it! 5 Her dimples are more pronounced and easier to see.
The Lyman Family: 8 Months
http://stephaniegriggs.blogspot.com/2015/06/8-months.html
Tuesday, June 30, 2015. Ellen has reached 8 months. Here are her developments:. 1 She is excellent at sitting now. 2 She can effectively get anywhere on the floor through rolling and scooting backwards. She cannot crawl yet, but she often gets up on her hands and knees and rocks back and forth. 3 She has a happy scream that is very loud. I think she typically does it when she is bored. 5 She has started to develop an awareness of strangers-shown mostly through staring at them. View my complete profile.

Tuesday, September 30, 2014. Here are a few things from this last Sunday that I want to remember. They are all reminders that my baby is not so much of a baby anymore and that she really is growing up. 1 Apparently Summer knows several of her shapes-including a star, heart, square, triangle, and circle. I didn't even teach her those last three, so it really surprised me when she knew them. 4 Summer is my big helper in the kitchen. She will immediately pull over a chair whenever it looks remotely like...

Monday, October 20, 2014. 2 Year Old Pictures. These are some of the pictures I've taken of Summer in the last few weeks-in an attempt to capture her at two years old. The ones with her in her polka dot dress were taken at Thanksgiving Point as part of her "2 year old birthday shoot" about a month after her birthday. The others were all just taken in our backyard. Thursday, June 25, 2015. How tall will Summer be? There are these cool Child Height Predictor websites. Based off the child's current age, weight, height and the parents height, it gives an estimate for the child's predicted height. Summer and Ellen both have a predicted height of 5'7". In 18 years, we'll check back and see if it was correct. :). Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). View my complete profile. How tall will Summer be? 2 Little Monkeys Jumping on the Bed. The Lyman Family: December 2014
http://stephaniegriggs.blogspot.com/2014_12_01_archive.html
Sunday, December 28, 2014. Here are a few photos I took of Summer in their Christmas Dresses and in their Christmas outfits. Summer and Anders were both sick the Sunday before Christmas, so we didn't get any Sunday Christmas pictures, so I dressed both Ellen and Summer later and took a few pictures. I didn't edit any of these in photoshop and was quite pleased with how they turned out. We had our first real snow for the year on Christmas! Saturday, December 27, 2014. Janae and Daniel were the wisemen.

Yay! She isn't a pro yet, but she can do it for short amounts of time. 3 We are successfully sleeping without any kind of swaddling. 4 Ellen now likes to eat her feet. That's one of my favorite baby developments-I think it is so cute! 5 She quite likes to play with her toys. Weight: 13 lbs 14 oz, 7th percentile.
The Lyman Family: 9 Months
http://stephaniegriggs.blogspot.com/2015/08/9-months.html
Wednesday, August 5, 2015. Ellen is 9 months old! She has now been out longer than she was in. She is still our happy, sweet baby. Here are a few developments:. 1 She can crawl! July 20th she decided was a good day to learn to do it. She's getting pretty good and has realized that she can follow me from room to room. I'm still not used to it and am surprised each time I find her somewhere totally different from where I left her. 2 She eats a lot of baby food. Basically, she is a champion eater. Raymie Ni...

The Learning Corner
Tuesday, December 22, 2015. The Case for Shared Leadership. Over the past several weeks I have engaged in a period of reflection on leadership. This reflection resulted from my own desire to refocus for the second half of the school year as well as conversations with people about my own leadership beliefs. Many of these conversations centered around a core leadership debate - should we dictate or facilitate? Sowhat is the right leadership for our school? How do we keep moving forward? Why do I lead?

The Infinite Unknown
December 18, 2017. One of the more fun things I did in Seattle back in 2014 was to participate in a StartupWeekend. Hunting cold spots with the Flir One Thermal Camera. January 05, 2017. I like sharing useful gadgets with people and having an inexpensive thermal camera around the house can be very useful at times. I’ve been in the new house for about six months now and with the cold snap making it in the mid 30s outside I thought this is a good time to break out the Flir One. September 01, 2013. February...
