Made In China Studio: August 2012
http://madeinchinastudio.blogspot.com/2012_08_01_archive.html
Monday, August 27, 2012. I spent about a week and a half in Mangum, it just so happened that my sister and her daughter and granddaughter where there as well! The scenery was quite beautiful, Spring weather had been good to the area, and I had arrived the week before wheat harvest. I was lucky enough to be in the right place for yet another intense phenomenon in the sky - an annular eclipse! Although I couldn't see it, I sure could Feel it! It was a great visit, but had to be cut a bit short. I had a...

Made In China Studio: May 2012

Wednesday, May 16, 2012. Return to Public Glass - Hot Glass Cold Beer. You would think that I would have gone straight there. The lack of fuel and temporary lapse in funding dictated that I proceed directly to Public Glass. The Redwoods will have to wait. Again. Dropped the Kids (that's what I have started to call the blow-mold collection) off Tuesday at Todd Tankersley's Studio. To have their portraits taken - they are quite spectacular ( here's the link. The time came and let the show begin! I have bee...

http://madeinchinastudio.blogspot.com/2012_10_01_archive.html
Wednesday, October 31, 2012. But everything happens as it is supposed to, and for a reason. I spent a lot of the time checking out the city, galleries and museums. I ran into some friends from River Falls in the first couple of hours - some of the students that had participated in my demos last November, as well as Eoin Breadon. His family. I attended a great party the first night at Firenation Glass Studio and Gallery. The last day of the conference, the students from River Falls. Do you Poach it? This ...

Made In China Studio: Neusole Glassworks Residency
http://madeinchinastudio.blogspot.com/2013/02/neusole-glassworks-residency.html
Saturday, February 16, 2013. Corning was a lot of fun, I was totally inspired and could have stayed for another week or two at least, but I had this other thing going on. Over the summer, while at my dad's place in Oklahoma, I sent an email to Jason Chakravarty. Director of Operations and Studio Manager at Neusole Glassworks. Perfect, nothing better than blowing glass on my birthday! That put the kibosh on my Mom's surprise birthday party - which was such a sweet idea - and I was off again! And it was fu...

Made In China Studio: September 2012
http://madeinchinastudio.blogspot.com/2012_09_01_archive.html
Thursday, September 20, 2012. By the way, I'm not always this safety conscious! Meet Speedy. He is a flying snail puppy born without wings in 1999. He developed a rocket pack in order to keep up with his family as they would fly around with their naturally developed wings. He was one of a series of pieces made when I worked for Greg Leavitt. 1999-2001. The puppies were something that Greg made periodically, and I happened to be there for this batch - one joke led to another and Speedy was born! I continu...

http://scenicartisan.blogspot.com/2015/03/arizona.html
Thursday, March 26, 2015. After speaking and spending time in New Mexico. I headed to Arizona to speak to the Arizona Glass Alliance in Scottsdale. This is how I wound up speaking to their group. I was hosted by the Hellers, who I knew through Habatat Gallery in Michigan. They have an awesome new house and were terrific hosts! It was pretty hilarious and i guess at the end, no one hated me too much. so all was well. The Hellers also gave me a quick tour of galleries and artspaces in Scottsdale, and i got...
