Coke Slurpees Rule: August 2014
http://cokeslurpeesrule.blogspot.com/2014_08_01_archive.html
Thursday, August 28, 2014. I'm realizing that there'll be little else but talk of Ruby on the blog now. My phone has picture upon picture of her. I just want to capture each and every moment of this amazing little girl. I'm starting to get my craft on- mostly been making headbands, but have been decorating some of Ruby's plain onesies as well. Ruby's got plenty of headbands now and never leaves the house without one on. I don't know what's gotten in to me, but I've been shopping- A LOT! Ruby has been tal...

Coke Slurpees Rule: April 2015
http://cokeslurpeesrule.blogspot.com/2015_04_01_archive.html
Sunday, April 19, 2015. My Almost 11 Month Old. I feel like a bad mom because I haven't kept tabs on Ruby as well as I should. She's never more than a few feet from me, but she still manages to fall and get hurt. One particular day she pulled my jewelry box on top of her. She was bleeding and had bruises, bumps, and scrapes all over her head. I felt horrible. This was Jason's idea for keeping Ruby contained while I did my make up. Cuddles with dad. I love how much he loves her. Jana and I both decided we...

Coke Slurpees Rule: June Days
http://cokeslurpeesrule.blogspot.com/2015/07/june-days.html
Tuesday, July 7, 2015. June has flown by. I'm sitting here in Ruby's room watching her play and I'm amazed at how much she's grown the past month and year. Jason and I love her so much. I know I say this all the time, but she really is the best baby. We've been absolutely spoiled. At the store she was able to snag an apple out of the cart and take a bite before I noticed. Ruby's not too interested in reading books at the library yet. Right now she's content to pull all the books off the shelves. Ruby has...

Coke Slurpees Rule: May 2015
http://cokeslurpeesrule.blogspot.com/2015_05_01_archive.html
Tuesday, May 26, 2015. On Sunday we headed to Diamond Fork for some day camping. Jason was set on spending the night, but I convinced him it wasn't a good idea with Ruby- too cold and too much work. On Monday we worked in the yard and Jason made homemade pizza for dinner (per my request). It was delicious. I trapped Ruby downstairs so I could relax on the couch while he cooked- she wasn't too pleased with me. This walker continues to be a favorite. There's a chord to Ruby's sound machine that runs behind...

Coke Slurpees Rule: January 2015
http://cokeslurpeesrule.blogspot.com/2015_01_01_archive.html
Friday, January 30, 2015. I did stay at my house a few nights here and there while Jason was gone. I was able to talk Rachel into staying with me for a couple of those. She even came to church with me and Ruby! Rachel also watched Ruby for me during my volleyball games- I know, I'm really spoiled to have such a great friend. I love these little biscuits because they take Ruby quite a while to eat. I can give her one of those and it gives me a solid 10 minutes to get some things done. Jason's sister sent ...

Coke Slurpees Rule: July 2014
http://cokeslurpeesrule.blogspot.com/2014_07_01_archive.html
Wednesday, July 23, 2014. Grandma and Grandpa Layton. Jason's parents came to visit for about three weeks. I felt bed because it wasn't much of a vacation for them. Jason and Larry put in a sprinkler system while Lori and I took care of Ruby and sewed her blessing gown. Thank goodness Lori was there to help me. There's no way I could have done it on my own. We tried to fit in some fun things here and there with Lori and Larry. One night we headed up the canyon for dinner and s'mores. We took Lori and Lar...

Coke Slurpees Rule: May 2014
http://cokeslurpeesrule.blogspot.com/2014_05_01_archive.html
Thursday, May 22, 2014. Last weekend Jason and Alex (and I helped a little too) planted a bunch of flowers for my parents. We also spent a few hours at Mckay and Amy's helping them build a wall for their garden. It turned out to be a busy and tiring day. Jason and I were both exhausted when we got home. Sunday, May 18, 2014. Jason announced on Friday that he would be making me a Mother's Day meal. He asked what I wanted and I said, "Surprise me! A satisfied man right there with a clean bone to prove it.

Coke Slurpees Rule: November 2014
http://cokeslurpeesrule.blogspot.com/2014_11_01_archive.html
Sunday, November 30, 2014. 6 Months Old and Other Events. My hair got curly after having Ruby- this picture is after letting it air dry. Sometimes after rolling over I'll find Ruby like this. Who knew baby life could be so exhausting. I told Hillcrest that I'd grade AP essays for them. When I got my first stack a week before Thanksgiving I was really regretting my decision. There were 185 essays. Yuck! Jason and I usually go to Austin for Thanksgiving, but decided to stick closer to home this year. W...

Coke Slurpees Rule: June 2015
http://cokeslurpeesrule.blogspot.com/2015_06_01_archive.html
Monday, June 15, 2015. 1 Never Looked So Good! I am a slacker. I just realized that Ruby has been 1 for almost a month and I haven't posted about her birthday. It seems like we had a long celebration week with all that was going on. Brittany was in town so we got to spend time at Thanksgiving Point the day before Ruby's birthday. On Thursday for Ruby's actual birthday we met Jason for lunch downtown. We didn't really do much else as far as celebrating since the big party was going to be Saturday. Waterma...

Coke Slurpees Rule: Let Freedom Ring!
http://cokeslurpeesrule.blogspot.com/2015/07/let-freedom-ring.html
Monday, July 20, 2015. We celebrated the Fourth in our typical fashion starting out the day with the Freedom Festival 10k and then heading to Kneaders for breakfast with the family. In the early evening we headed to the park for a bbq. Jason made a 7 layer bean dip, which he'd literally been wanting to do for over a month. After the park we did some fireworks at my parent's while we ate homemade ice cream and brownies. It was the perfect Fourth. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). View my complete profile.
