The light side of Texas. Thursday, January 7, 2010. Houston food and quirk. There are a lot of good restaurants in Houston. There are also a lot of popular but not so great restaurants. Try some of these out: under $25. Here's a tribute to some good restaurants of Houston's past. Among them, of course, my old favorite Bistro Moderne. What big news to tuck away! More information must be coming. For the record, Max's Wine Dive is good (maybe not as good as Block 7), but is old news nonetheless.

Is there a positive correlation between the top marginal tax rate and GDP growth? Cursory analysis says yes. He makes me wonder how much private work he's done, as I think he seems to really miss the point of private economic modeling. I must say- remember that a firm will often purchase a number of difference forecasts, which will disagree, as well as produce their own forecasts. Does one expect a firm to "believe" all of these forecasts? Then, why purchase the others?
