Ward Family Happenings

Tuesday, January 27, 2015. I had the opportunity to do something pretty life-changing and epic recently! It all started several months ago when I made a comment on FaceBook about friends who I know would bend over backward for me, but who I never get to see or talk to because everyday life gets in the way. Well, one of those friends commented, followed by some others and out of it was born the most amazing girl's weekend ever! I don't get a chance to do these often (or ever! We went to the LA Temple and ...

Ward Family Happenings: December 2014

http://jdwardfamily.blogspot.com/2014_12_01_archive.html

Thursday, December 18, 2014. For the first time in years, we traveled this Thanksgiving. Jeff's parents moved closer and so we thought an 8 hr drive over wouldn't be too hard for a long weekend with the kids.well, it never took 8 hrs.but we made it there and home and had a great time with family in between! Raegan enjoyed spending time with her cousins. They loved sharing and swapping snacks. Of course there was football. The babies at the adult table. Soaking up the sun. More movies and relaxing. Then t...

Ward Family Happenings: Christmas 2014

http://jdwardfamily.blogspot.com/2015/01/christmas-2014.html

Friday, January 9, 2015. Christmas Eve we spent the afternoon at a friends house eating and playing games. When we got home, Santa visited and left us some awesome pjs. The kids opened those plus they are allowed to pick one other present under the tree to open. Then it was bed time. Santa's spoils and the tree. Harrison was up very early in the morning and waited patiently for a resonable hour to wake up his sisters.they still weren't very happy! But I think the presents made everything a little better.

Ward Family Happenings: March 2014

http://jdwardfamily.blogspot.com/2014_03_01_archive.html

Sunday, March 30, 2014. Spring Break Part 3. We spent Thursday and Friday at Disneyland. We started Thursday by doing the Magic Morning which gave us an hour in the park with less people. We were able to fit in Peter Pan and a Bobsled ride. Reagan and I even made it on a Snow White ride and spent some time in the Princess Boutique and on the bridge to the castle. Raegan loved the ducks. Then we headed over to the Buzz Lightyear ride which everyone loved. The boys took it pretty seriously. We did wait in ...

_ Young and Restless: Dear Future April

http://theyoungsandtherestless.blogspot.com/2015/02/dear-future-april.html

Thursday, February 26, 2015. Dear Future April,. I have a few things to share with you. This is to the future April who has forgotten what it feels like to be an almost 30-yr old, with a little 16month Whitters, forgotten how your purse was always full of diapers and puffs and 6 hrs of sleep was all you were given. I have a few things to share. 1 You can feel your bones.like when you lie on your side to sleep you can feel your hip bones. And being skinnier after your first baby happened here, too.but...

Wurst and Durst: July 2014

http://danandkristendurst.blogspot.com/2014_07_01_archive.html

Thursday, July 10, 2014. Our fun Fourth of July weekend. Our Fourth of July week kicked off with finally agreeing on a paint color for our entry way/main flowing area. Hooray! The weather was PERFECT. Not too humid, nice when we got there, started getting pretty hot right when we were leaving. Just perfect. We came home for nap/quiet time and then went out to dinner. We came home for a patriotic trifle dessert and then Dad headed back to C-ville. It was fun to have him spend the day with us! We had promi...

Wurst and Durst: June 2015

http://danandkristendurst.blogspot.com/2015_06_01_archive.html

Monday, June 22, 2015. Worst idea I've ever had. The manager wasn't even helping his employees. He was all smiles just taking pictures and distracting the employees from getting their work done. It took so long to get the donuts that I was then LATE to pick him up from school and I felt even worse. Fortunately for me, he was very forgiving. Eli managed to turn himself perpendicular while napping. Sam adores his little brother. I think the feeling is mutual. I took the kids to some water feature thing.

Wurst and Durst: July 2015

http://danandkristendurst.blogspot.com/2015_07_01_archive.html

Thursday, July 09, 2015. Our Yellowstone trip part 5. Our last full day in Yellowstone we headed out to do the upper loop. We got a later start that day because we were planning on being out late. We had pancakes and bacon for breakfast. Our first stop was Norris geyser basin. We did a 2 mile loop and saw about half a dozen geysers. Basalt lava that formed columnar joints nearly 500,000 years ago. This is how Eli looked after approximately 30 minutes in the bjorn. Every time he was in it. We drove the ro...

Wurst and Durst: September 2014

http://danandkristendurst.blogspot.com/2014_09_01_archive.html

Sunday, September 21, 2014. Tonight I was sitting down to write my to-do list for tomorrow. Afton asked what I was doing and decided she wanted to add a few things to my list. I wrote hers over on the side of the page. Here are our to-do's for tomorrow. Do all the laundry. Go to the gym. Make some baby pants. Go on a walk. Take Sam to school. Write cards to friends. Pick food from the garden. Hers sounds more fun than mine. And what's a post without a picture? Wednesday, September 17, 2014. It looks a lo...

http://danandkristendurst.blogspot.com/2015_02_01_archive.html

Sunday, February 15, 2015. We're getting back in the swing of things around here. Slowly. We went to the temple last weekend. Per tradition, we took a picture of Eli there for his first time. And for comparison purposes, here's Afton 2010. For some reason, she doesn't look like how I remember her looking in this picture. And here's Sam. That was the end of dark football. Afton wants to be a detective when she grows up. The other day there was a crazy white plume of smoke in the middle of the road mak...

Wurst and Durst: Our Yellowstone trip part 3

http://danandkristendurst.blogspot.com/2015/07/our-yellowstone-trip-part-3.html

Monday, July 06, 2015. Our Yellowstone trip part 3. Sam counted up his points over and over and over again. Anyhow, our first official stop was the Midway Geyser Basin, home of the Grand Prismatic Geyser. Dan took the kids to see it while I nursed Eli in the car (this happened a lot on our trip). Afterwards, I did a quick walk-by of it and then we took an unofficial hike up a hill across the street to get a birds-eye view. Here it is from ground level. Kind of hard to see a lot of it. The hike was 3....

Wurst and Durst: June 2014

http://danandkristendurst.blogspot.com/2014_06_01_archive.html

Saturday, June 21, 2014. St Thomas / St. John 10-year anniversary trip. A blurry picture of St. John in the distance. The next morning we took a taxi to Magens Bay, the prettiest (in our opinion) beach on St. Thomas. We got there early to try and beat the crowds. Me and my sweet wristbands to help combat the nausea I always feel driving on those crazy curvy roads. I forgot to take them off.). A one-minute video showing you what it's like around St. Thomas. So we explored in there a bit while the first ma...
