The New Mackay House. A day-by-day story of an owner-built house in the village of Hartland, Wisconsin. Monday, September 28, 2009. It's been more than three months since the last blog, but it's not just because I was too lazy to write. We moved in at the end of June, almost 9 months to the day after we started the project. But we still had a bunch of work to do before we could finish off the loan, and stick a fork in the house. First, we have some furniture in the family room now:. Toys in the loft:.

The New Mackay House. A day-by-day story of an owner-built house in the village of Hartland, Wisconsin. Sunday, February 15, 2009. The siding and other exterior work was done last week. Here's a picture of the back of the house:. I'll post some interior pictures when we get a bit further along. The New Mackay House. A day-by-day story of an owner-built house in the village of Hartland, Wisconsin. Tuesday, February 3, 2009. The exterior is almost done. Just the shakes in the gable ends and finish work on the front porch, and it will be all done. Hopefully, the weather will cooperate and let us get it done this week. We've had quite a bit of cold, windy weather in the last few weeks that has slowed things down quite a bit. . Links to this post. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). View my complete profile.
