2008 guitar project - Guitar Building. This is the place for anybody who Does Stuff With Guitars. 29 July 2008 @ 09:47 pm. Showing the construction of the guitar: a 5-piece maple/walnut neck that extends far enough into the body that the bridge is actually sitting in the neck. The neck is sandwiched inside the body for superb stability, similar to that of a neck-thru. Think of it as a cross between a set neck and a neck-thru. Alder body with single piece Black Walnut top.

What style of nut?

Painting detail on an electric? This is the place for anybody who Does Stuff With Guitars. 25 December 2007 @ 05:07 pm. Painting detail on an electric? Hey, I've got a pretty simple question. I happen to be both a bass player and a visual artist. I recently got inspired to paint some classic tattoos on my electric bass and I'm really at a loss about how to actually do it, what paint to use (Is hobbyists enamel a bad idea? Etc Any suggestions would be helpful, thanks in advance! 2 comments Leave a comment.
