jemima lumley jewellery: How I make silver cuff
http://jemimalumley.blogspot.com/2015/02/the-evolution-of-diva-cuff.html
Tuesday, 24 February 2015. How I make silver cuff. Recently I've been commission to make an old favourite piece - I probably haven't had the opportunity to make this cuff for two or three years. Luckily I thought to photograph the process for a change, so here's the gestation of my 'diva' cuff (for she is the queen of all my cuffs, and she knows it! Here you can see the back and front of the silver with all the interior shapes cut out. Then I cut around the outside of the cuff. Once I'm happy with the ov...

jemima lumley jewellery: February 2012
http://jemimalumley.blogspot.com/2012_02_01_archive.html
Friday, 24 February 2012. A steep learning curve. It's been on of those weeks! Luckily I have a friend who I was at college with, who was on hand to have her brain picked. And there's YouTube! Between the two of them, Day Two was rather more successful. Sunday, 12 February 2012. It's all done - the pieces are made, the photos taken and the jewellery available to order on notonthehighstreet. But I always feel like that about new items - I'm dying to make loads of them for a short time, then I fancy someth...

jemima lumley jewellery: Wedding Jewels
http://jemimalumley.blogspot.com/2015/06/wedding-jewels.html
Sunday, 7 June 2015. I love this time of year, when I get to make rather special jewellery. Here's a set destined for a bride to be, and her groom, getting hitched at the end of the month. The necklace and bangle are based on some vintage lace that I've had for 20 years, and go perfectly with her dress also made with vintage lace. The ring is white gold and silver wire wrapped together. At the front there are three small leaves in both metals. Love - ain't it just grand! Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).

Thursday, 9 April 2015. Preparing for a Craft Fair. Or how to stress yourself out! Until a couple of months ago! I reversed that decision and decided that I needed more direct sales, cutting out the middleman, and an opportunity was presented to me. So I signed up for Outlaw. In Bristol on the 2nd and 3rd of May. And then I panicked! Oh my word, I had forgotten how much work there is to do in preparation - and this is an all weekender so double the organisation, the stock, the manpower. gulp!

jemima lumley jewellery: June 2012
http://jemimalumley.blogspot.com/2012_06_01_archive.html
Sunday, 17 June 2012. Well, I have been unbelievably lazy when it comes to blogging. Utterly useless. Still, I have been busy on lots of fronts. The most exciting is the article in Landscape Magazine that came out last week - here's a picture of the cover, though I do apologise for the quality. Much more sensible to see it clearly on their website - click here. I've also had my website redesigned (by a company called netspin. To have a look. I went on a research trip (! That has urged me on. She's al...

jemima lumley jewellery: July 2012
http://jemimalumley.blogspot.com/2012_07_01_archive.html
Tuesday, 3 July 2012. An oldy but a goody! A couple of weeks ago I had an order for one of my old favourites - this cuff that I've always called my Diva cuff as she's such a showy piece! I thought I'd photograph the silver sheet as it gradually became a cuff, so here's the result. This shows the silver with the tracing paper drawing stuck on to the sheet of silver. I have textured the silver beforehand. All the 'holes' have now been pierced out. Then I saw around the outside. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).
