On the Road Again. Keeping up with Family and Friends. Karen, Bill, Mango and Pearl. Sunday, November 05, 2006. We've made it as far south as North Carolina(11-5) but the the following pictures are from Newport News, VA where we were visiting our friends, the Laurrells and the Hermans. We very much enjoyed seeing everyone and also think the Virginia Beach area is beautiful and very interesting with all the naval and shipping activity. Twisted Tree at the reservoir. Early morning on the reservoir. October...

On the Road Again. Keeping up with Family and Friends. Karen, Bill, Mango and Pearl. Thursday, January 25, 2007. Yesbut setbacks had to be accomplished on both sides of the property line and we chose to do the work. We are almost finished cleaning up the landscaping, as well, and then finis. It will be a relief to be done.at least we hope we're done. This event is the tossing of the Caber. I think I have the name right. Something caught Pearlie's eye on a sunny afternoon. Thursday, February 11, 2010. I’m on Attu Island in Alaska as I write this. How insane is that? I’m 1,100 miles from mainland Alaska and I can still play poker and blog on the Internet. It is, admittedly, rather choppy Internet . (It's no worse than Maine in similar weather.). The weather is awful! Half the time they’re plastered with snow from the drifts! Monday, February 8, 2010. If my prognostication record were a batting average I’d be in the Hall of Fame. That’s even in this Athletes ...Sometimes I g...

Saturday, January 24, 2009. From My Poker Blog. Do a feature about these two friends making it all the way. This past week I saw the passing of one of my best friends – one of my favorite poker buddies. My Uncle Billy died while I was out on the boat. I found out on Thursday. Billy was the most driven poker player I knew. He lived alone and spent much of his time away from work working over the fish at PokerStars. Family made Billy my Uncle, but Poker made Billy my friend. My other help comes from the fa...

Wednesday, September 30, 2009. Ten and Six Week Three. Where did I go wrong? I was 10-6 this week. Surprisingly not 9-7, as I accidently picked the Colts to win, even though I didn’t think they would. Better to be lucky than good I guess. Although this week was a major improvement over last week, I still sucked. Let’s see where I failed. Jags win on the road vs. Houston. What the hell Houston? Talk about an on-off switch for defense! You know, without blowing the lead in the last couple minutes. Oh how I...

Saturday, November 14, 2009. I'm Perfect in Week 10. So Far. How great was it to see Cutleritis strike in San Francisco on Thursday? I love how sports brings out such passion in me that I root for a team's demise just because they have a specific player on their team! I picked the 9ers, so Thursday's result was like winning twice! Um, let's see. What else? Saints will win. Chargers will win. Saturday, November 7, 2009. If you have the ESPN coverage DVR'd, don't read this: Phil Ivey, the greatest player i...
