The DBA (Dutch Barge Association) are a wealth of helpful and useful information. In 2001 with the sole purpose of using it to research our barge idea to see if it was feasible. There is a small room below the stairway and this the electrical room, also housing the calorifier hot-water storage/airing. Our Belgium marine electricians wiring starts to be installed in the base of the Navigation Centre. Is primarily be a 220/240 volt barge with 12 and 24v for the engines facilities. Room below the stairs is the dedicated electrics room and contains the large and heavy 12 x 2 volt (= 24v) traction batteries and all the electrical equipment from trip fuse box's to battery chargers.
