July 29, 2009. Posted by jeninmaine in dyeing. More photos today. Forward momentum, slow but steady. I am really loving this yarn, it was an experiment. It involves mixing up a crapton of dye and was very fiddly but I think the results are worth it. Kidlet was particularly handsome today so I made him submit to an impromptu shoot before I took him to camp. Almost more than making things, I love to shop for things to make things. I especially love to buy products that are handmade by other makers like myself, spreading the creative love all over the durned place. Since I do tend to shop quite a bit I thought I might start offering my my thoughts on some of my favorite things. You can see a good deal of what is going on there from the road, we were able to look at a couple of ships in cross-section being worked on as well as all the cranes out over the water and a giant blue barge. Fleecy knits and sheepish grins :-). Tuesday, January 01, 2008. My Clapotis is done! My current project is to finish off some of the UFOs I unearthed while cleaning up the house for the holidays. We'll see how long that lasts. :-). Wow, it's beautiful and just your color too! I can't wait to see it in person. It's gorgeous. The color is breathtaking! Wow, that's really lovely!
