Jenna Lash - Artwork. 8220;This new series of paintings describes my ancestry through painted imagined memories of my family. It is a dialogue with known and unknown relatives. It was inspired by the deaths of both my parents, within four months of each other last year. My father was 87 and my mother was 81. He had bone cancer and quietly faded away. She died of heartbreak and in great pain. Will they tell me something about how to live? Will the work now lead me to other people’s stories?
