She suffered a traumatic brain injury that required immediate surgery on the left side of her brain to remove a blood clot. Monday, November 30, 2009. Day # 3 Monday 11/30/09. Today has been a struggle for Jennie. This morning her heart rate was very low, and the doctors were concerned that her heart might stop. They were able to get her heart rate up a little, but there are still some serious concerns about the extent of Jennie's injury to her brain. Sunday, November 29, 2009. Monday, February 15, 2010. I just couldn't wait til my usual weekly update to tell everyone about this! Saturday, February 13, 2010. Once she returns, she will still continue to receive therapy while living at home. Jennie went on her first outting yesterday with other Shepherd patients to the Mellow Mushroom for lunch and ate pizza. Tuesday, December 29, 2009. Day #33 - Tuesday 12/30/09. BIG prayer request this evening for Jennie! The Rehab doctor is coming to visit her for a 2nd time tomorrow. Jennie has already been rejected for rehab one previous time. We are hoping that the improvements she has shown in the past week will give her a different outcome this time. The improvements Jennie has shown include - tracking with her eyes, opening her mouth, and blinking on command. Saturday, December 26, 2009. Day #29 - Saturday 12/26/09.

Saturday, May 1, 2010. Today was a day that has been long awaited. Jennie and our mom came home from The Shepherd Center! Carly Nicole Elliotte My Micro Preemie. May 2, 2010 at 5:45 PM. So happy to hear that shes made it home. She will be in my prayers for her surgery Tuesday. May 2, 2010 at 9:07 PM. It is well with Jennie! May 3, 2010 at 7:32 PM. Oh I am so very excited! Sunday, August 29, 2010. Here we are nine months post accident and there is so much to talk about! The week following surgery, Jennie started going back to therapy at a local rehabilitation center. Initially, she went to physical, occupational, and speech therapies three times a week. Shortly into going to therapies, her neurosurgeon (our hero!
