I like the hard straight lines of the stone and even the ridges of the shells in contrast to the curves of the overall shell shapes. The annual event features about 100 crafters and vendors. Tuesday, May 26, 2015. On our walk last week along the local Audubon Trail, this was chalked on the concrete at the beginning of the trail: " The hardest step is out the door. Keep Going! Though we did not see the owlets we had hoped to see on that walk (having waited too long to get out the door,) we did see some marvelous things. Monday, June 29, 2015. We have had a busy spring, and the busyness has not let up with summer now upon us. Thursday, October 30, 2014. Studio Tuesday (on Thursday). This morning then, after I did some Thursday work, I went to the studio and finished hemming the 'April' tapestry, though I have not yet prepped the stretcher to mount it on. I have the stretchers my husband has made for both it and the as-yet-unmounted 'November' tapestry. But my mind was not in the right place today for doing finishing work. I wanted to do beginning-work! And I wouldn't want to do it without using ALL. Warm and sunny and young!

Monday, August 11, 2014. So, as I do my laundry and fill my suitcase, I am also doing my more essential. I also have my sketchbook and sketching materials packed: two very small boxes with watercolors in them (an Altoids box, and a fly fishing box, each with a selection of watercolors inside), a couple of waterbrushes, a pencil and an eraser, my fountain pen, a white gel pen, a roll of tape, and some multicolored pencils and a sharpener.
