The year of making other people's patterns. Since the age of about thirteen, I have designed my own knitting patterns. This was partly through necessity - being an oversized teenager meant that nothing I wanted was available off the shelf. What was wrong with the poor dear? Not much blogging done - but a fair bit of knitting and crochet (weaving shamefully quiet). Yarn used this year - 7,642. Yarn bought this year - 4,596.70. Net use up of stash - 3,045.30. Here's another free pattern; my coloured cable hand warmers. This is one of those patterns that is much easier to knit than it is to write down. It looks very complicated and I've written it in a great deal of detail, but once you get into the swing of the pattern, it's actually much easier than it looks. 1 pair of 3.25mm needles.
