Portrait Drawing Class at Wallacks (Nepean). Learn to use the centuries-old technique of chiaroscuro to draw a lifelike portrait. This technique, used by the old masters, is based on capturing the behavior of light as it falls across the subject. This course focuses on learning to draw light and shadow shapes to create a sensitive portrait. This 10-week class takes place every Sunday from 1 - 3:30pm, October 4 to December 6, 2015. Jennifer has studied at the Ottawa School of Art, and has also studied privately with recognized Canadian and American artists. Her work has been shown in several venues, including Toronto's historic Distillery District, the Varley Gallery in Unionville, and the John B. Aird Gallery in Toronto, and the Cumberland Gallery in Ottawa. Jennifer shows her work regularly at the Foyer Gallery, and artist-run centre in Nepean.
