The Narcri: Weekend Recap
http://thenarcri.blogspot.com/2012/07/weekend-recap.html
This weekend we went to Roanoke to attend the wedding of our friends Tripp and Marianne. Since my family also lives in Roanoke, we decided to make it a long weekend. We left on Thursday and came back home on Sunday. Here is a recap of the fun we had! On Thursday, Todd went golfing with my dad while I went to Vinton to see my friends Crystal and Paula. We all graduated from Tech together and are now all elementary teachers and mommies to boys! Frosty was off to the side. that explains Thomas's glance.

These pictures were taken today, which is my official half-way point. I am 20 weeks today, only 20 more to go. So here you go, a front view and side view of my little man growing everyday! I really only did this one because I love the shirt so much! Like I said, not really just a "bump! 65279; So there you are! Four Years Ago Today. Four years ago ...

The Narcri: Please Pass Along...
http://thenarcri.blogspot.com/2012/07/please-pass-along.html
Our dear friends, Emily and Richard, are in the process of trying to adopt! They are wonderful friends and neighbors, and I know they will be even better parents! They have helped us so much with Frosty and Thomas in the time we have known them, and now I'd like to make a little shout out to possibly help them. If you know anyone who is considering adoption or looking for adoptive parents, PLEASE pass this blog onto them. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Thomas's all out happiness and laugh!

Thomas's Birth Story, Part 2. In this part of Thomas's birth story I am going to discuss labor/delivery. In part 1. I discussed my non-stress test and decision to be induced. Before I start, I wanted to share my very last picture before having Thomas. Unfortunately I didn't get a picture on the morning I went into the hospital, but this was taken just a few days before. That SO didn't happen. At this point I was allowed to take all the monitors off for one glorious hour. I was cleared to walk around ...

Elizabeth, Consider This Your Shout-Out :). To my dear sister Elizabeth,. It's not just Gouda. it's great-a! Ok I am sorry. I apologize in advance. but I am corny and just cannot resist the Gouda jokes! So if you find them highly annoying, you might just want to stop reading. Well, now thanks to Heather's inspiration, I have also added Meatless Monday as a tradition. I refuse to go the route of tofu, but I am going to try to make a vegetarian dish each week. hence the gnocci. And this recipe was GREAT!

Recently, Thomas has started being able to use his bouncy seat. Tonight, he was REALLY into it. He loved being able to move and shake his legs and seemed to enjoy the bouncing A LOT! Here is a little video of him having so much fun! Hope this brightens up your night! Linking up with E, Myself and I for. 1 Obviously, I must confess that it's no longer "midweek.". 2 The fact that my blog header is driving me CRAZY. I have spent WAY too much time tonight trying to get it figured out. She's Our Baby, Gotta L...

Well, for those of you who don't know, I did an internet fast for 3 weeks. Our church was doing a fast, and since I couldn't give up food, Todd and I gave up the internet. So that's where I have been. if you missed me. if not, oh well! But now I am back and ready to confess some things. So I've linked up to E, Myself and I. UGH Luckily, it was jeans day, and I had dark jeans on. but still. 5 I am blogging from work. though technically before contract hours. but I still feel like a bit of a rebel! We do n...

So tonight's culinary adventure was gnocchi in a leek, mushroom, and spinach sauce. It was actually a recipe from Fabio on Top Chef. And now I know why Fabio is on Top Chef and I am. NOT! You have to crush up cooked potatoes until their are not any lumps. Easy, apparently, if you have a pasta press. Not so easy if you don't. First mistake. The sauce that I then added them to (the term "sauce" being used lightly since it didn't have much liquid) was tasty. It reinforced the idea that leeks are delicio...

Because of Thomas's eczema and slow weight gain, we delayed the start of solids until he was 6 months old. We wanted him to have as much time as possible to get lots of calories from his formula and we wanted to have his digestive system stronger in case of allergies and what not to the new food. Here are some pictures to show the first feeding. (Some of the pictures were taken with my iPod, so they are not as good. but still cute! Trying to feed himself. I call this one, "I came, I ate, I conquered!

The Narcri: 4th of July
http://thenarcri.blogspot.com/2012/07/4th-of-july.html
In January, Todd and I created a calendar for his mom and my mom with pictures of Thomas wearing a different outfit for each month. We had to pull from clothes that were too big for him for some of the pictures, but we were able to find something unique that fit each month. This is the picture that was put into the calendar for July. This was taken when Thomas was about 2 months old. The outfit he was wearing was a 6-9 month outfit. Fast forward 6 months, Thomas is almost 8 months now (can you believe it?
