My dad grew up during the depression, and like many of that generation, he never really felt quite comfortable that his financial situation could be trusted. I also remember my grandmother's reaction. She basically told me we (the family) were selfish because we pressured my dad to waste his money on something as unnecessary. I wonder what my grandmother would say? The Cynical Career Counselor.
