So, I attempted to sew something and I thought it would be easy but a Halloween costume is probably not the best time to learn how to use a pattern! It kind of took me forever but, with tons of encouragement from Jake, it turned out great - thanks to our handsome son : ) Our inspiration was the book Where the Wild Things Are. He wanted to carry his "I see a monster" book with him all night. Posted by Jacob Reni. A Reni for your thoughts. Can Jen come out and play? Chocolate Cupcake Baby Blanket.

Dash loves his Daddy. No matter how much I try to convince him that he's a mommy's boy, he has this undeniable connection with Jake. Fun With Jen and Kaylee. My big sister Jen and her youngest daughter Kaylee came to visit to celebrate all 3 of our February birthdays. It was sooo much fun to spend time with them and to see Dash fall in love with Kaylee. Kaylee is an archeology and dinosaur GENIUS so we spent a lot of time at museums. They're so wonderful, I wish I could see them all the time.

Just the cutest play date ever. Posted by Jacob Reni. Dash's Birthday - friends party. Posted by Jacob Reni. On Dash's birthday we had a family party and then one with his little friends a week later. He was a little grumpy on the day of his birthday but once he saw his new tent and xylophone, he was all smiles. Posted by Jacob Reni. We have a basement! Posted by Jacob Reni. I heard a noise in the laundry room. And when i checked i found a monster. None of us were tired so we had a living room campout.

Home Sweet Midway: Butterfly Pavillion
http://dashreni.blogspot.com/2010/04/butterfly-pavillion.html
Dash and I are without Jake for a couple of weeks so we decided to explore Denver. Today we went to the Butterfly Pavillion and it was super fun! Lots of butterflies and tarantulas. I liked the butterflies better than the tarantulas, but Dash liked the spiders. We bought a bunch of cool butterflies made from feathers and brought them home and put them all over his bedroom ceiling. he came in his room and said . "wowWOWwhatisTHAT! I LOVE Dashs room! The Butterfly Pavilion looks way fun! Hone on the range.

Oh s(no)w it did not! So Jake and I are training to run the Park City Marathon. On August 22. We were motivated by a book called the Non-runner's Marathon Trainer. That takes you step by step from not running at all to running a Marathon in just over 5 months! We may not be sexy now but we will be by August! Anyway, it's been beautiful weather in Denver the past month or so but yesterday mother nature decided to do THIS! School was canceled so there were lots of kids playing in the snow. Mesa Verde offer...

That Boy of Mine. All about Dash. Just because he's so cute. What he likes to say: Not too much but when he does talk, it's OMGoodness cute. What he likes to do: Everything! His blankies (all 3 of them). Drink milk in the morning. Eat watermelon, lots and lots of watermelon. Spit like his daddy. Ride piggyback down the stairs in the morning. Scavenge for snacks in the pantry. Eat corndogs in the car. See his aunts, uncles and grandparents and cousins. Brush his teeth with mommy's toothbrush. If you're no...

So for spring break we got 8 inches of snow last night! By the afternoon it was a beautiful, warm day but holy cow we got a lot of the white stuff. Our power was off so we went out and played in it . just wish Jake was here! I never thought I would enjoy living somewhere where it snowed so much but it warms up so fast here that I actually really enjoy it. and Dash LOVES it. Trying to build a snowman, but it turned out pretty terrible! I love the view from our front yard, the mountains are incredible!
