Falling asleep to the sound of frogs when the firecrackers stopped. . Crusty, half clean clothes from the lack of a decent washer and no dryer. Rice for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Being treated to dinner and being forced to eat strange things until I am beyond full. Feeling lucky to fit into Chinese size XXL.

Friday, May 8, 2009. Since Chinese toilets look like this,. We sometimes need reminders on what to do when we occasionally come across a western toilet. In a typical park in China you will find. More adults than children. Workout equipment instead of a playground. Adult sized monkey bars. At least 4 ping pong tables cemented into the pavement. . An occasional back massager thingy. Over 100 people gathered around a stage doing Chinese line dances. It's a pretty normal thing here. Moldy ipod armband .

We changed the color pallet from bright pinks and turquoise to a subtle orange, brown and green. We moved the furniture and painted the wall green. We added orange accents. And a Lane recliner for our little reader. It is a comfy chair. On the bookshelf we added dark brown rattan baskets to hold her purses, hair accessories, notebooks etc. Plus they hang beautifully.
