Thursday, March 22, 2007. Let the games begin! Yeah, anyway. it´s entertaining to say the least. I spoke with Dinah last night and she told me that Aunt Linda has been keeping up with this blog! It´s good to know ya´ll are communicating and that someone is reading this thing! Last bit of catch up. I bought my plane ticket for Alaska yesterday and I head north on the 2nd of May and return on the 7th of September. I´m excited just thinking about it! Why am I posting this crap here? Friday, June 13, 2008. This past week has been outrageously wild here in Denali. The week began with our tour group seeing a grizzly sow take down a moose calf. Who would think the week's activities could get any better? We then saw an up close view of a wolf two different times. Yikes! The park is alive with so much activity these days. Sunday, April 1, 2007. Walking the beach at 6:35 am, visiting with all of the stray local dogs, seeing a drunken Dolores at the grocery store at 10:00 am, taking the bus/collectivo/or cab everywhere around the country, eating the best grilled chicken for approximately $3 US, watching the sunset out the front window. priceless. Sunday, June 1, 2008. I haven't blogged here for a while so I hardly know where to begin! I'm back in Denali and it has been an astounding year so far. The wildlife sightings along the first 15 miles of the park road have been plentiful. That's kind of typical for early in the season but the rarity is WHAT we've been seeing. Lots of caribou, multiple grizzly bears in one area, lynx and wolves that are rarely seen on the Natural History Tour. What fun it's been! Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).
