Kate and Blair: August 2010
http://kateandblair.blogspot.com/2010_08_01_archive.html
Sunday, August 29, 2010. Ella turned two in July! We knew she and I were going to be in Idaho without Blair on her actual birthday (during my trip out west to defend my thesis) so we had a little family celebration 2 weeks before her actual birthday. She didn't know the difference- she was just thrilled to have cupcakes! How old are you? She made off with some fun new toys: a dress up petticoat skirt, sunglasses, a box for sorting wooden shapes, and some blocks for stacking (and pushing over! Here's a fa...

Kate and Blair: Family of Four
http://kateandblair.blogspot.com/2013/02/family-of-four.html
Sunday, February 10, 2013. We are now a family of four! On November 9, Henry Blair was born at 10:24 am. He weighed 7 lbs, 1 oz and was 20.5 inches long. I could not have asked for a better birth! For my own benefit, I'll write a little about the birth here. If you don't enjoy reading birth stories, skip ahead and just look at the pictures. Consider yourself warned! On the way home we stopped by Five Guys and Blair ran in to get some burgers to take home and eat. Best post-birth meal ever. Henry is a cal...

Kate and Blair: Adventures in Potty Training
http://kateandblair.blogspot.com/2010/03/adventures-in-potty-training.html
Sunday, March 14, 2010. Adventures in Potty Training. Week 1 (7 mos old). Week 2 (7 mos old). After 1 month (8 mos old). After 2-3 months (9-10 mos old). Ella started peeing less in her diaper and more in the potty. This translated into big savings on diapers for us. By the time she was 10 months old we were down to using 2-3 diapers a day (including one at night! Holding Pattern (10 mos-18 mos old). At 18 months old. Night Time and Sleeping. Was it Worth it? Here are the advantages. Huge $ $ Savings.

The Daughters are So Short!: April 2010
http://thedaughtersaresoshort.blogspot.com/2010_04_01_archive.html
The Daughters are So Short! Thursday, April 22, 2010. April 23, 1994. We've faced our share of trials and have had many more good times. I married my best friend 17 years ago. He's made me laugh so hard that I almost wet myself, and he's held me when I've cried so hard and couldn't stop. It's been a great journey so far, I can't wait to see where it takes us. Monday, April 19, 2010. Sunday, April 18, 2010. Grandma would be so proud. In addition to the great weather, we also got to take part in some very ...

The Daughters are So Short!: December 2009
http://thedaughtersaresoshort.blogspot.com/2009_12_01_archive.html
The Daughters are So Short! Tuesday, December 29, 2009. The 9 days of Christmas. Update: so we've been sledding, to the movies, played tons of games, rented movies, rented wii games and been to dinner. We still have a couple things to do that I can't say yet. Friday, December 25, 2009. A Labor of Love. It all started innocently. Sunday, December 20, 2009. Getting Ready for Christmas. There's just so much to do this time of year- especially when it snows. We were very concerned that we wouldn't be abl...

The Daughters are So Short!: February 2010
http://thedaughtersaresoshort.blogspot.com/2010_02_01_archive.html
The Daughters are So Short! Tuesday, February 9, 2010. Emily turned 10 - or as we like to say- became a zero-teen. The beginning of January. We celebrated by inviting our family over to celebrate. I of course forgot to take pictures until everyone was leaving, but I did get a few. We haven't done her friend party yet- which will be her very last one as we stop doing parties when they go to middle school (we can't believe that she's going to middle school either! But she had a great time turning 10.

The Daughters are So Short!: Fall Fun
http://thedaughtersaresoshort.blogspot.com/2010/10/fall-fun.html
The Daughters are So Short! Sunday, October 10, 2010. We are having a fabulous fall full of lots of fun family time. This weekend was unseasonably warm. At almost 90 degrees, football was played in T-shirts and shorts- no small miracle for October in Minnesota. It also meant that the party we attended Saturday night was not too cold. Lots. The Daughters are So Short!: August 2010
http://thedaughtersaresoshort.blogspot.com/2010_08_01_archive.html
The Daughters are So Short! Sunday, August 22, 2010. After all the football, everyone got cleaned up and we had a corn feed. (It's a midwest thing to call a big dinner a feed) We had wagon rides and eat some of the best of what everyone had grown in their gardens. Fabulous salads, the sweetest corn, pulled pork and chicken sandwiches and wonderful desserts. What a great why to spend a Saturday! Saturday, August 14, 2010. Trip to the Zoo. Friday, August 13, 2010. Thursday, August 12, 2010. Girls Trip to U...
