Back garden permaculture in Brixton. Thursday, 8 December 2011. No such thing as waste. My first jobs was to clear some space of planting. the garden had one large raised bed being swallowed up by ivy, so I chopped that down. This left me with lots of vines that I knew wouldn't compost very well, ivy gets tough and woody when it dries out, so I decided to use that to my advantage and make the frame of my polytunnel with the stems. It was great to see all my air show friends back on the island. The display would not be the same without all of its visiting volunteers and supporters. Sadly Ellie Bear didn’t make it over.
