Thursday, December 6, 2012. A November to Remember. First was the Kid's ball. A celebration of the Marine Corps birthday, but with kids. Thursday, August 1, 2013. This summer it rained a lot. Which is great because it kept the gnats away. However, 21 days in a row of rain can be a major pain! Luckily it only rained in the afternoons and mornings were devoted to play. All summer, David and his bf Brayden would play to their hearts content! I love that they are able to go outside and we don't have to worry about them getting snatched up. One of the benefits of living on a small base. You know everyone on your street. Fun at the splash pad.

Wednesday, November 23, 2011. The other day, I was a bit upset with Billy and speaking rather loudly to him. David pipes up from his little corner where he was playing with his cars, "Mommy, I know how to make you happy. I will dust your room for you! He proceeded to get up, got the duster and started dusting. I laughed. It definitely made me feel better and took the wind out of my sails. I'm sure Billy was grateful, too. This summer, David has had some pretty big milestones. I enrolled him in swim lessons and was amazed at how much he'd accomplished in a week. Here he is swimming toward his teacher. Sunday, June 19, 2011. My biggest worry is the school system there. David will be starting school and the education isn't quite up to par according to all the reviews. Then there's the whole segregation issue that still exists in parts of the city. Oh, and did I mention alligators? One guy was telling us that the last time he was there, there were alligators living in one of the lakes on base! Definitely not letting David anywhere near lakes or swamps. So, when does the move occur? I'm so proud of you!
