When all the vertebrae start looking the same | jessica mintz
https://jessicamintz.wordpress.com/2013/11/03/when-all-the-vertebrae-start-looking-the-same
Words Science. Animals. When all the vertebrae start looking the same. My dears, greetings from my desk, which is littered with flash cards, highlighters and pens, coffee mugs, printouts of canine joint drawings, miscellaneous bones and Halloween candy wrappers (oops). I’m still not where I’d like to be, and this is the cause of most of my vet school anxiety: How do I get from unprepared to prepared? How do I prioritize what material to really learn, versus that with which I may be just casually familiar?
Where do the days go | jessica mintz

Words Science. Animals. Where do the days go. Every time I write a post about vet school, I promise I’ll write more frequently. This year, in between all the sponge-like learning I’m supposed to be engaged in, I’m thinking a lot about pedagogy. I know it’s a lot of information to absorb, and I know I need to have seen it this year. Every parasite, bacteria, virus under the sun needs to wiggle its way into my brain. (Brain-eating vet-school-aria worm anyone? Vet school stress dreams lack subtlety. Fill in...

On Oji | jessica mintz

Words Science. Animals. When I heard that the wonderful owner of Hound’s About, Pooka’s daycare, needed someone to foster a “returned” rescue dog who would otherwise be spending nights alone in the daycare building, I was in. More on mast cell tumors to come: we’re awaiting pathology reports on #2. No more free lunch →. One Response to “On Oji”. Leave a Reply Cancel reply. Enter your comment here. This is a Pooka: May 2011
http://whatsapooka.blogspot.com/2011_05_01_archive.html
This is a Pooka. Saturday, May 7, 2011. Apologies, dear readers, for being so remiss in bringing you the news from Phinney Ridge(back). First, Taquito. A month after his knee surgery, the vet declared him ready for adoption, and so back to the shelter he went. It broke my heart a little. So when two weeks passed and no one had taken the little man home for good, we decided to bring him back for another stint at Camp Oona and Jessica. I've been spending more time at home freelancing and doing chemistry ho...

Rule #1: The Rule of Underwear | Poems About Internet Dating

Poems About Internet Dating. How This Blog Was Born. In Which I Defend Myself Against Imaginary Poets. How Many Dates Have You Gone On, Anyway? Well, maybe you have a Problem. Rule #1: The Rule of Underwear. April 28, 2011 2 Comments. This one is a logic problem. If you wear your cute underwear, odds are. Nobody will actually end up seeing them. Also, the converse. (No, not the shoes.). Or is it the inverse? If you wear your cute underwear, your date will not see them. If A, then B). If not B, then not A).

Greek mythology has said that humans were originally created with four legs, four arms and a head with two faces. Fearing their power, Zeus split them apart, condemning them to spend their entire lives in search of their other half. People scare me. They change their minds so quick. One moment it’s I love you and you make me happy and the next it’s I’m not sure anymore and this isn’t what I want ". 78,021 notes reblog. Friday, 27 April 2012. Ostern bei der Oma. Sunday, 12 February 2012. Saturday, 11 February 2012. Der Schnee ist da. Another year . another bittercold February. After we were lucky for the longest time with a very mild autumn and early winter, the cold has finally hit us. We don't mind so much. We had fun making several snowmen on the one day the snow came (and the next day it was gone anyway). Now Rod has been laid off from Rim and spends lots of time at home studying and applying for a new job. We still...
