Jessica's Journey
Monday, October 19, 2015. Looking at jess today, it's hard to believe she had a spinal fusion 29 days ago! At 10 days post-op, jess had 51 staples removed. This was the first time she has had staples and I hope she never has them again! That's was a tuff day watching each one get pulled out. We decided to send jess to school the following Monday (two weeks after surgery). Jess was very excited when she got on the bus and did very well through the week. She just seemed a bit tired after school. Jessica wi...

Write your messages here. Eckhart Tolle discusses loneliness at not having a life partner. “The essence is to be able to transcend who you are on the level of form. Whether or not you find a partner that meets that longing, or whether you go from one partner to another and another, or whether you find…. What a Week… and Mindfulness. A day in the life. Trying to get back in control. We have awareness. Who is not aware of breast cancer? The bigger question: Who really understands breast cancer? My writing ...

Jessica's Journey
The righteous pass away; the godly often die before their time. And no one seems to care or wonder why. No one seems to understand that God is protecting them from the evil to come. For the godly who die will rest in peace. As Paul wrote in 2 Tim. 4:7. I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. Jessica's Journey was established to remember and honor the life of Jessica Gilpin and to urge others to support families impacted by cancer.

Jessica's Journey - Blog
There is always hope. Today is Jessica's 21st Birthday! Life with her has been a beautiful journey. 21 years ago was one of the happiest days of my life. I had no idea that in just a few months, I would face the hardest battle of my life. On her 18th birthday I imagined her graduating from high school and going off to college. So many tears over the years, but so much joy. For the past few months, I've been writing down things that parenting Jessica has taught me and I thought I'd share a few. I met with...

Jessica's Journey through 23 Things
Jessica's Journey through 23 Things. Friday, August 3, 2007. It is over, truely over. One thing I would say is to find a way that we can continue using the "things" we learned even after this program is over. My favorite things were making the avatars and flickr.com. I would like to participate in another training like this if one comes up. Thanks to those who made this possible! Wednesday, August 1, 2007. I really, really, really want to love this. It seems like a great idea and I hear so much about...

Jessica's Journey
Tuesday, January 20, 2009. Jess is doing great, and recovering nicely from her surgery. She has been home since last Thursday. She is being a very good patient :), and taking lots of naps! I know that it's hard for Jess to sit around doing nothing, but those are pretty much the doctor's orders! Every day is better than the day before. Obviously, her chest area is still very sore, thank God for Advil! God Bless you all, and thanks again for loving our Jessie so much! Liz, Jess and Nancy. There ya have it!

jessicasjourneyblog | A fine WordPress.com site
A fine WordPress.com site. July 5, 2015. I haven’t updated this thing in over six months and it’s always embarrassing forgetting about a commitment that I had made to myself. I have given up on a number of commitments that I’ve made to myself and it seems only natural that I would forget about this one. I was skimming over my old posts and got really upset with just how helpless I sounded. Don’t get me wrong, I have always struggled with my weight. I probably always. That’s not where I am, anymore. 8221;...
