Media in Our Everyday Lives. Thursday, April 9, 2009. Celebrities have taken to adoption children. Sounds harmless and like a wonderful thing to do to help out our nation, right? However, the rich and famous are not adopting from the US, they are not helping their own home land, they are going overseas to adopt children. Why not adopt US children? Gender and Pop Culture. Thursday, April 30, 2009. This week in the media I came across a great non profit organization that I’d never heard of, girls write now. They teach the girls to write poems, fiction and non-fiction, also teaching them to fill out college applications and entrance essays. This service would be beneficial to the feminist movemen...
